Volunteer
One of the best ways to contribute to United Way and to help change lives is by serving as an executive volunteer on the United Way board or one of its key committees or by taking one of the variety of other volunteer positions available to those who are interested in donating their time to improve their community.
UWSD Board of Directors and Committees
For more than 80 years, serving on the United Way of San Diego County Board of Directors or one of its committees has been among the higher profile and most prestigious volunteer opportunities in San Diego County. Leaders from San Diego County corporations and organizations comprise the board and govern the United Way of San Diego County as they would a company. Those who volunteer to serve on board committees, ranging from finance and public policy to marketing and planned giving, play key roles in shaping the current and future direction of United Way of San Diego County. Other Volunteer Opportunities
United Way of San Diego County offers a number of internships to those interested in learning more about community fundraising or gaining experience working in the non-profit arena.
Several United Way departments, including Marketing, Resource Development and Community Impact, have intern positions for qualified applicants.
