Each of the three focus areas is on a different timetable for issuance of RFP's (Request For Proposal) and subsequent funding. When an RFP or Letter of Intent request is issued, it will be highlighted on the front page of our website and we will make every effort to distribute widely via email.
Stopping Child Abuse & Neglect
An invitation only RFP was released in July 2007 and an organization and its partners was chosen in September 2007. There may be a prospect for a community wide funding opportunity in early 2008.
Promoting Financial Stability & Independence
The United Way of San Diego County has released its Promoting Financial Stability and Independence RFP. We will begin accepting electronic applications on December 3, 2007. All applications must be submitted electronically and further instructions regarding online submissions will be given at the pre-proposal conference starting at 1:00 p.m. on November 28, 2007 at the United Way of San Diego County. It is mandatory that all potential applicants send a representative to the pre-proposal conference in order to apply for funding. All applications are due by 3 p.m. on January 8, 2008.

Homeless Outreach & Prevention
At this time we do not have a timetable for the issuance of an RFP or funding deployment. We are looking at spring of 2008 for developing a timetable for funding of this focus area.
