Workplace Giving
For thousands of busy San Diegans, workplace giving is the most convenient way to give back to our community. Each year more than 1,000 local companies host workplace giving campaigns to make it easy for their employees to get involved and promote the spirit of giving.
A workplace giving campaign, which runs around two weeks, is tailored to meet the specific needs of the company. Whether you want a high-activity campaign with a kickoff, incentives, and special events, or something a little more low-key, an expert United Way representative will be available every step of the way to help with planning and execution.
With a variety of giving options and the convenience of payroll deduction, employees can give a little out of each check to support any cause they wish. You can also donate electronically through our secure online system, which gives you even more options to run a successful workplace campaign.
We’ve made great strides since the implementation of our Community Impact model, which allows us to focus on three of the issues that matter most to San Diegans:
- Stopping Child Abuse & Neglect
- Promoting Financial Stability & Independence
- Homeless Outreach & Prevention
Now you and your employees can make a real difference in people’s lives by helping to advance the common good. When you reach out a hand to one, you influence the condition of all.
If your company isn’t running a United Way/CHAD Campaign and you would like to start one, visit our Campaign Center or contact: Holly Baughman @ hbaughman@uwsd.org or 858-636-4157.
